🔍 The 2025–26 Season: Underrated Contributors
The season is in full swing, so let's shine a light on the names that don't always make the highlight reels but quietly move the needle for the C's.
Luka Garza · C · 5th Season
Boston has historically struggled to establish a dominant paint presence outside the Russell and Parish eras. Garza is helping change that. In roughly 16 minutes a night, his per-40 projection is a staggering 25.2 PPG, 9.9 RPG, 2.0 APG. Toss out the meaningless finale against Orlando with rested starters, and his March–April efficiency has been elite.
Jordan Walsh · G · 3rd Season
Walsh has gone from afterthought to genuine rotation piece. His December was outstanding — 9.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 1.2 SPG on 69.6% FG, 86.7% FT and 54% from three. Year over year he's added 23 games, nearly 10 minutes, +15.8% FG, +12.2% 3P and +17.2% FT. That's a leap.
Hugo González · G · Rookie
The 20-year-old Spaniard debuted for Real Madrid in the ACB at just 16, winning two titles (2024, 2025) before Boston took him 28th in the 2025 Draft. The counting stats are modest, but his March 2nd line against Milwaukee — 18 pts, 16 reb, 3 stl, 2 blk, 3 threes — flashed exactly why the C's are excited.
Honorable Mention: Ron Harper Jr. · G
After torching the G League in Maine (25.2 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 1.2 BPG), Harper has made the most of NBA looks: 22 on San Antonio (six threes), then 27 on Orlando (10-of-20, 7 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl). The undrafted younger brother of 2025 No. 2 pick Dylan Harper plays with a chip on his shoulder. Keep watching.
